HistoryMundifios was started in 1985 as a secondary business by one of the founders.
Up to 1991 it kept a partial time administration and small objectives.
In 1992, with the total acquisition of the company by one of the shareholder Mr Joaquim Fernandes and his wife Filomena Fernandes,
the new chairman invested in the company's expansion aiming to reach new markets and consolidate it's image among commercial partners.
It began a new era and in the same year the sales volume doubled.
New employees were admitted and Mundifios settled in the market as a reference company.
Some milestones:
- 1995 – Mundifios was considered by Dun & Bradstreet and Exame Magazine the best Portuguese textile company.
- 1999 – ISO 9001 certification.
- 2006 – Starts phase I of our internationalisation project.
- 2008 – Mundifios is considered by IAPMEI PME leader of textile sector.
- 2009 – New investment in 8000 mt2 warehouse to increase our logistics network.
- 2010 – 25th anniversary and start of phase II of internationalisation project.
